Clears green water problems

Green away is not a toxic algicide - it clears the pond water safety by clumping the algae together so that they sink or are removed by a filter.

Green away works with plants to create a naturally balanced pond.

For each dose 25ml treats 500 litres (110gallons)

The idea of this product is just to help reduce green water but sometimes as quick as it is trying to break down and kill the green water the sun is working against the treatment and resulting in the product appearing not to have the desired effect.

This product will help combat green water in your pond, but like all other similar treatments it has its limits and in many cases can’t do the job all on its own. Please read through the following tips to help you clear your pond of green water:

Have only one inch of fish per ten gallons of water. Your fish can affect the pond water quality. First of all the number of fish should correspond to the pond size because the organic waste will increase with more fish.

Avoid direct sunlight as green water is due to small algae cell. When these small algae cells come in contact with sunlight produce algae by photosynthesis.

Control amount of nitrates and phosphates as it is very harmful for the pond’s ecosystem and helps in algae growth. These are food sources for algae.

Use plenty of aquatic plants. Aquatic plants in the pond have a huge impact on growing green algae cells as algae require sunlight for its survival, so when aquatic plants restrict the amount of sunlight, green algae-causing cells are prohibited.

Regularly clean all the debris which gets settled down at the bottom of the pond.

Consider using UV clarifiers to help in pond green water treatment. It does not harm the pond and aquatic life in any way.
